Experience

As soon as I could speak, I began telling stories to anyone who would listen.

In high school I knew I wanted to write creatively, so in college I studied creative writing and English literature with a particular interest in medieval writing and fantasy and speculative fiction.

A long career of working with people and a voracious appetite for dark fantasy has broadened my perspective and helped me to understand the depth and range of human motivations and emotions I explore with my characters.

I'm passionate about narrative depth, deep world-building, and complex characters dealing with the dramas and tragedies of life in challenging settings.
